VIRGINIA'S AGRICULTURAL BEST MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (BMP)

 

This cost share program helps with conservation efforts to improve cropland, pastureland, hay land and forested land. Programs are paid at a flat rate or straight per acre rate. Various percentage rates for certain programs change each fiscal year. Programs can often be funded through state and federal funds, reducing landowners cost expenses.
